AcknowledgmentsFirst up I'd like to acknowledge the creators and performers of the music on this page. Of course, the copyright is theirs, I don't claim it, etc.
I would like to thank everyone who helped with this site, providing information, lyrics and images. Thanks also to everyone who has contacted me to say how they enjoyed the site, it means a lot to me. A lot of the lyrics I transcribed or typed directly from the liner notes on my records and cds, but I was also able to get some of them from John Schumann's official site and Lyricsfreak was also a good source of Redgum lyrics. Tony Francis provided the lyrics for El Salvador, as well as some other materials. Thank you to Andrew for telling me that it was Peter Hicks who co-wrote Raggin'. Thanks to Ian Egan for providing the unrecorded songs from The Redgum Songbook. A number of people also have been good enough to post performances both new and old on YouTube. I'm particularly indebted to YouTube users countryboyvic, digihed1, redgumlover, nearlyoutofideas and Skitizen. I've linked to most of them on my YouTube channel. Many pictures are sourced from John Schumann's website, and a lot of the album cover images came from Bob Nebe's great blog The Striped Sunlight Sound. I also learned about Rebel Chorus and The Lost Album there. Ken provided me with some of the Rebel Chorus images. Michael provided covers for the If I Close My Eyes and Eyes on Fire singles, as well as track listings. Hugh McDonald's website was useful too, and Hugh was kind enough to take some time to speak to me as well. Michael Brown emailed me with some Redgum photos he took, including the picture of Hugh McDonald on the albums page, plus the elusive cover of Rebel Chorus. He also provided many photos from The Redgum Songbook. Thanks Michael! Some of the covers for singles came from www.45cat.com Jasbir helped me out with Weebly and some general design issues. Kenji gave me some good design advice also. As with most research these days, wikipedia came in pretty handy too! |
